It has been awhile but stay tuned part 4 is coming up shortly also check out the site taggzilla.com
How and why does one person quickly bounce back after a risk has failed while another spends years regretting their decision and repeatedly verbalizing "if only I had..."? What element always seems to help one person achieve their goals? While another individual cannot get past their last attempt ten years ago to create a dream. Why does one sales clerk willingly help an irate customer while another takes the verbal accusations personally?
People who bounce back from failure and can see beyond the customer's frustration to complete their goals have a magical ability. It is called a positive attitude! The individual with a positive attitude always seems to magically pull the rabbit out of the tall top hat just when you think they can't. Part of the reason they can is because they believe they can. Their attitude is one of can do! Our thought process and how we choose to think is reflected in our attitude.
Throughout life, we record each and every experience in our sub-conscious mind. For the most part, we are unaware we have stored these experiences away in the filing cabinet of our mind. At some future point, a new event will trigger the memory of an old experience. For example, a beautiful sunset may remind you of a vacation trip to Hawaii. It is important to note, that our brain is capable of both recording and playing back memories. Second, when we do recall a memory, it is the emotions and feelings we re-experience, not the facts and figures from the memory. Finally, the reason we re-experience those feelings and emotions may be based on either positive or negative memories.
When we interact with customers, sometime a shirt they are wearing, a perfume they have on or the way they walk can trigger a sub-conscious memory from our past. The way we have become accustomed to remembering given events can have a major affect on our reaction to others regardless of the reality of the situation. For example, the shirt a customer is wearing reminds you of Uncle Harry. You have only fond memories of him and emotionally you will probably respond favorably to the customer. Your manager walks exactly like your seventh grade PE teacher. You always felt she was particularly mean to you. Without even realizing it, your response to your manager may always be negative. You will probably not even know why you are responding the way you are. The feelings just surface and your reaction is automatic.
This is not Part 4 but this is interesting check it out.
A positive attitude has a very strong influence on the mentality and motivation necessary for setting a goal to live. Set goals give motivation and attitude necessary to survive pressures. When placed in an unexpected survival situation you will be forced to rely upon your own resources; improvising needs and solving problems for yourself. If you want to survive then you must ultimately decide to take care of yourself and to not count on others to help you. You must continually strive towards a goal of survival. Picture your goal in your mind and visualize yourself reaching it. A person with a stubborn strong will power can conquer many obstacles. Never give up your goal to live, because without any will to live those lost in the wilderness will likely despair and die.
It is all the same a great attitude effects every aspect of your life. Stay tuned for part 4
Part 3 (first read part 1 & 2)
Ultimately the only way to have more time and money is to be successful and financially independent that way you don't have to work and you have enough money and time to do what you want. Again it is not easy to achieve success in fact it may be the hardest journey you have ever embarked on but that is why I am here to help you. I know there was a time in my life when I felt like the wrath of God was on my shoulders I was laid off from 2 jobs, I was in school full time because of that I rarely saw my 2 kids, I almost got kicked out of school because I had a hard time paying my tuition, bill collectors kept calling hounding me for money that I didn't have and to add insult to injury my fiancé walked out on me. I was sent through hell with my boxers soaked in gasoline and back I know how tough it can be out there, I know it is not easy but if I can over-come those obstacles and still reach success anyone can. I was so low there was no place to go but up I had hit my emotional threshold.
Stay tuned for Part 4 - this where it gets good!
Here it is Part 2 (if you have not read part one do yourself a favor dip down read it then come back and continue it will make more sense)
In business people always take precautions but more than that the reason people are afraid to take risks is because they ultimately are afraid of stepping out of their comfort zone. That zone where everything is safe, secure, comfortable and familiar. You see as children we are taught to study hard in school get good grades and become a doctor, lawyer, politician etc. So we go out in the world and do what we are told study hard and get decent jobs and ultimately get stuck in a comfort zone, we are working a steady job getting a steady pay and like most of the population people are comfortable having a hard time paying their bills and making ends meet. Like a fly on your kitchen window trying to get out into the open air butting his 2 big eyes on the big piece of glass over and over doing the same thing and expecting different results.
Taking a risk might mean longer hours , hard work, no pay for the first little while and not being so comfortable this is the reality of what could happen before your business takes off and you are financially independent. I cannot convince people to come out of their comfort zone but I can say this if you want success you'll have to go out and get it because no one is going to hand it to you on a silver platter and only a small population are born with a silver spoon in their mouth or are luck enough to go to a far, fall ass backwards in a stall and land on a horse-shoe and win the lotto.
There are 2 things you can be sure of in life people want more time and/or money. More time to go on vacation or spend time with their kids or doing something else they love, or more money to go on vacation or spend it on a loved one getting them something they have always wanted or maybe just to treat themselves to something. Without fail what happens is most people end up sacrificing one for the other. They spend more time working to get more money and in the end have less time to do what they want or vice-versa they spend more time doing what they want but have no money. I have a friend who is an investment banker and he makes more money than God and he is not even 30 yet but he can't hold a relationship because he works no less than 85 hours a week and his boss told him in obscurely he can kiss your week-ends good bye his ass belongs to the company.
Part III coming soon
Every time you do a search online or read a book someone somewhere is telling you that you can have it all, the world is yours ripe for the picking and all you have to do is go out there and take it which only half the story. There is another side that nobody tells you about and from my experience is the key to getting anything off the ground and being successful. It is a good thing but it is an essential element that draws the line between winners and losers.
Don't be fooled going into business for your self is a risk but it is the only way to success for most people but why should risk scare people? Think about it we run risk every single day, when someone crosses the street they run the risk of getting hit by a car, we we take flights there is a risk that the plane will go down in flames or will have terrorists on board. When someone drives a car they run the risk of getting into an accident, when they eat at a restaurant they run the risk of getting food poisoning and I'm sure you catch my drift. In short everything we do has some element of risk attached to it some greater than other but risks all the same. Think about it, we run so many risks everyday of our lives that they just become part of our regular daily routine and we don't pay any attention to them. Why don't we pay attention to them you may ask because we take certain precautions to minimize the risks involved. When we cross the street we look both ways to ensure there is no on coming traffic, before we eat we wash our hands so we don't contaminate the food we are about to put in our mouths, before using a power saw we wear protective goggles. In life we take precautions everyday and the same applies to starting or running a successful business we always want to make sure that we are protected.
